IMPORTANT: Postera is a purely informational AI tool and DOES NOT provide any legal, tax, financial, medical, or administrative advice. Use is entirely at your own risk. AI results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Do NOT make any important decisions based solely on Postera. Always consult a qualified professional before taking any action.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Postera, you accept these Terms. You must be at least 16 years old.

2. Service Description

Postera helps users in Germany understand official documents through AI explanations. Postera does NOT provide legal, financial, or medical advice, and does NOT replace lawyers or tax advisors.

3. Subscription and Payment

Monthly (€4.99) and yearly (€39.99) Pro plans
Payment via Apple App Store / Google Play
Auto-renewal at end of billing period
Cancel at least 24 hours before next payment via App Store / Google Play settings

Refunds are processed by Apple / Google according to their policies.

4. User Obligations

Only scan documents you own or are authorized to scan
Do not use the app for illegal purposes
Do not copy, modify, or distribute the app
Obtain consent before scanning third-party documents

5. User's Personal Responsibility

You use Postera entirely at your own risk. You understand and accept that:

Postera does not provide advice of any kind
AI content may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated
You must independently verify all AI results
For important matters, consult a qualified professional (attorney, tax advisor, doctor, authority)
You are solely responsible for all decisions based on Postera
Meeting deadlines and fulfilling legal obligations is your sole responsibility

6. No Warranty

The service is provided "as is" without any warranty. We do NOT warrant accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for purpose, uninterrupted availability, or correction of errors. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for damages is excluded, particularly for damages arising from reliance on AI results, missed deadlines, financial losses, data loss, service unavailability, or third-party services.

These limitations do not apply to damages from injury to life, body, or health, from intentional or grossly negligent conduct, or from mandatory statutory liability. Where liability cannot be fully excluded, it is limited to foreseeable damages and shall not exceed the amount paid in the last 12 months or €50 — whichever is lower.

8. Indemnification

You shall indemnify Postera against all third-party claims arising from your use, breach of Terms, violation of third-party rights, or content you upload.

9. Account Suspension

We may suspend or delete your account for Terms violations, illegal activities, or abuse. You may delete your account anytime through Settings. Personal data is removed within 30 days. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

German law applies exclusively. Place of jurisdiction is Nuremberg, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
